Hudson and Brand, Inquiry Agents of the Obscure.

Created by Stygian Fox Publishing

Hudson and Brand: Inquiry Agents of the Obscure is the first in our ‘Safe House’ series where players of the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game (published by Chaosium, Inc), have a home-base for their characters to work out of. At hand, they will have resources, a gun range, a collection of monographs on various subjects, a small library, three members of staff, and property consisting of offices and lodgings in the very heart of London.

Hi everyone,

The dice and notepads were on pre-order as well as in the Curator editions. Would those who pre ordered those items prefer to have them sent ahead or released alongside the book? I'll take the majority view of the comments below as confirmation either way ☺

Well the dice are here! They were expensive but Q-Workshop in Poland came through and they are gorgeous but most importantly, easily readable in candlelight and gaslight ;)

They came in massive bags by sides so a huge bag of d12s, a huge bag of d6s and so on...

Pictured below are the unit d10s.

We now have everything in house but the books (more on those soon!)

Each dice set will come in an unmarked black fabric bag. The dice and other pre-order items are available for order here:

While work progresses on this Kickstarter and our other products, I thought I'd just drop you a message letting you know our current Kickstarter is up and running.

The Book of Contemporary Magical Things started life back in the 80's when I would drop seemingly mundane items containing magical power of varying strengths into our Call of Cthulhu campaign. Inspired by the warehouse where the Ark of the Covenant was kept in Raiders of the Lost Ark, they seemed to get a more modern focus when the much missed TV show, The Lost Room, premiered.

This book is systemless and contains a hundred objects that can have minor to Earth shattering effects. They are described in detail with an accompanying image, its benefits and penalties are also mentioned, who currently owns them, and where they currently are (for those items whose whereabouts are currently known).

We've already reached our target and hope to bust its Stretch Goals so why not jump on board? Maybe you can silence a riot with an ivory tuning fork or kill multiple adversaries while wearing a blindfold used to by Soviet firing squads in the Hungarian Uprising.

Double Oooooo!

Hi all, things are progressing (slower than I'd like but I'm sure you can appreciate that) and the editing has been done. All that remains now is for Robert Grayston to effect those changes and for Badger to layout and we'll be done!

I also wanted to show you two things (one is a bit spoilery so if you're a player, look away!)

Below is an image from the finale of the adventure as the brave investigators confront the 'Greens' (O'Riordan and Mr Seems) and their diabolical (and reanimated) mistress!

Art by Jon Gibbons.

The tablecloth for the Curator Edition. I have a really good flash and it's thicker than it looks. It's also huge (6'x3').
